Southwest Chapter Brings Home Top Honors
CoreNet Global named Southwest this year's Chapter of the Year (Large/Mega Chapter category) amongst stiff competition at the North American Global Summit in Los Angeles on Oct. 20, 2015.
CoreNet Global recognizes two regional chapters annually (one small/medium and one large/mega chapter) to raise the profile of corporate real estate and recognize the profession’s contributions to enterprise success.
Southwest Chapter Secretary Allison Thompson, Past President Ted Kollaja, and President J.J. Williams represented the Chapter in accepting the award.
"This recognition is a true testament of the hard work, determination and strategic planning that our Board of Directors displayed in elevating the status of our profession and our chapter in our local market," said Williams. Concurrently, Southwest’s neighboring Houston Chapter brought home the award for the Small/Medium Chapter category, making a clean sweep for the great state of Texas.
Adding to the honors, Southwest Chapter's own Rex Miller accepted the 2015 CoreNet Global Industry Excellence Award, bestowed to mindSHIFT for "Case4Space: How Engaging Workplaces Lead to Transformation and Growth."
The Chapter of the Year award recognizes the Chapter which excelled in the following areas within FY2015 (April 1, 2014 – March 31, 2015):
